I've read Woolaston's "Valentine",which was really good. The first four pages of "Fortune's Wing" are available on the publisher's website. After reading the sample I knew I wanted tour to read the rest of the book. I ordered a copy today. Between the synopsis on the website and the sample pages, I have a feeling this isn't going to be your average "boy goes on an adventure" story.1/26/2012 9:53:17 AMhttp://books.2DoNext.com/reviews/First-4-Pages-Draw-You-In/149868/647/d.aspxThis is a great storyhttp://books.2DoNext.com/reviews/This-is-a-great-story/149868/646/d.aspxFirst,let me say I own a copy of all three of Nicole Woolaston's books, and I have enjoyed all three. This was her first, and its the story of a young man named Fortune, who grows a single wing on his birthday, and learns he is part of a prophecy to save or destroy the world. Normally, I don't read fantasy stories, but I enjoyed this. Fortune begins a journey to not only save the world, but to discover who he is as a person and as a friend. The relationships between Fortune and his sister and h1/24/2012 7:34:07 PMhttp://books.2DoNext.com/reviews/This-is-a-great-story/149868/646/d.aspxGood Example of Girl Powerhttp://books.2DoNext.com/reviews/Good-Example-of-Girl-Power/149864/645/d.aspxI purchased a copy of this book from the author's website back in 2010,and I have to say I really enjoyed it. I purchased a second copy for my neighbor's 14 year old daughter, and she LOVED it. This book is about more than a young girl going on a road trip to save her father. The main character, Val Entienne, befriends an orphan, helps several battered and abused women, and sets an example of "girl power". Val even enters a shooting contest, and fixes cars...proof that girls can do anything.1/24/2012 7:22:03 PMhttp://books.2DoNext.com/reviews/Good-Example-of-Girl-Power/149864/645/d.aspxValentine is my new favoritehttp://books.2DoNext.com/reviews/Valentine-is-my-new-favorite/149864/644/d.aspxIn a world full of vampire romance and the like, it nice to find a book for teens that has a different storyline. "Valentine" is about a young girl who's father goes missing in California, and she goes on a roadtrip from Chicago in order to save him. Along the way, she befriends an orphan, and ultimately becomes a hero in her eyes when she helps total strangers. Even though this book was written for a pre-teen and teen audience, I read it and I really enjoyed it. I really admire Val, the mai1/22/2012 2:13:56 PMhttp://books.2DoNext.com/reviews/Valentine-is-my-new-favorite/149864/644/d.aspxA mystery that you really want to know the answer to.http://books.2DoNext.com/reviews/A-mystery-that-you-really-want-to-know-the-answer-to-/143223/640/d.aspxTeenage girl wakes up to find her entire family gone. 25 years later she restarts the investigation to find answers to that awful night.

I could hardly put the book down because I was desperate to know what happened. There were twists and surprises that kept me guessing through til the end.

A fairly easy but enjoyable read.
1/1/2012 11:31:48 AMhttp://books.2DoNext.com/reviews/A-mystery-that-you-really-want-to-know-the-answer-to-/143223/640/d.aspxon the origin of species by Charles Darwin http://books.2DoNext.com/reviews/on-the-origin-of-species-by-Charles-Darwin-/149843/639/d.aspxDarwin observed and pondered the origins of animals and plants on earth. His theories on natural selection and extinction, will have you wondering why you didn't notice these things yourself, especially when they happen under your nose every day. If science, or questioning life isn't your thing, then this book may not be for you. 1/1/2012 2:10:22 AMhttp://books.2DoNext.com/reviews/on-the-origin-of-species-by-Charles-Darwin-/149843/639/d.aspxShared Soulshttp://books.2DoNext.com/reviews/Shared-Souls/149709/629/d.aspxFantastic read! I love Anita for her kick ass style, unfortunately by the 12th book Anita is more into licking ass than kicking it. Still a good read but I wanted more of the monster hunting and less of the romance.9/22/2011 2:36:28 AMhttp://books.2DoNext.com/reviews/Incubus-Dreams/40940/628/d.aspxParadise Losthttp://books.2DoNext.com/reviews/Paradise-Lost/149302/627/d.aspxThis was a fantastic poem. The reason that I don't recommend this poem to others is because it takes a certain type of reader to enjoy this book. You need to enjoy reading not just for story line, or plot's sake, but because of the beauty of the language that Milton uses. He brings to life an ancient story that will remain mystical for the eternities. 9/19/2011 9:33:52 PMhttp://books.2DoNext.com/reviews/Paradise-Lost/149302/627/d.aspxamazing bookhttp://books.2DoNext.com/reviews/amazing-book/143077/626/d.aspxOnce you get stuck in to this book you literally cannot put it down. Any teenager who wants a good exciting read then i would recommend this. The author makes it so realistic unlike some other spy novel that you feel like it should be true!9/17/2011 5:25:39 AMhttp://books.2DoNext.com/reviews/amazing-book/143077/626/d.aspxBook Addict!http://books.2DoNext.com/blogs/Book-Addict-/30/d.aspxI love almost all books and finnish 3-4 a week.
