The people you don't know.
I really enjoyed this book. There is romance, sadness, joy, love, sorrow. You can learn about Afghanistan and Khabul and the regime of the Taliban. Walk through the bazaars and, later, the Sunday flea markets of San Hose. In this book, friends are pushed apart, and friends are pulled together. Heart warming, Heart freezing. Surviving poverty, bullets, bombs, life in another country and living with guilt, wanting to "be good again".
We have all heard about Afghanistan. Now you can read about the families that live there. Thats what this book is all about, the people they are and not the people they appear to be on TV.
