Bella Swan's 18 birthday is coming up, to her reluctance. The Cullens throw Bella a bash, but when she gets her a paper cut from opening a gift. The ravenous look of the cullens and the stealthy attack from Jasper, convinces Edward that there is no more reason to keep her in danger. Edward leaves Bella for her own good. Bella goes into an unbearable depression. Only to be conforted by family friend Jacob Black, who was going through a transformation of his own. However, Edwards absense is the least of her problems, when in the distance the danger of Victoria and who the secrets about the Quileutes are looming in the distance. Only to become a battle of time.

New Moon
After I became addicted to Twilight, I was on the edge of my seat waiting for New Moon to come out. I devoured it once I got it.
New Moon was fantastic. When Edward isn't there, and Bella goes into that phase of the novel, Stephenie Meyer makes everyone feel bad for Bella, and possibly angry at Edward. Though, the reconnection of Edward and Bella make them journey further into their dangerous relationship. Another fantastic book by Stephenie Meyer.
