If you want someone to get into vampires, this is a good starter book.
Twilight is a good book, and for its size it's surprisingly
an easy read and can be finished in one sitting. It doesn't really let your
attention linger but it is a bit slow with the pace and does cover a lot of
aspects of the story that didn't have to be there and just took up space. Sure
it has a bit of an adventure near the end, and of course there are vampires,
and, who doesn't like vampires? But in all honesty the series starts to
lose its novelty. If you’re a hardcore vampire fan who likes a lot of action
this really isn't the book for you, it's more of a subtle vampire book with
more teen romance than anything else so for those who seek constant action will
be sadly disappointed. This book is sweet, but its hype isn't what it's cracked
up to be. I'm not saying this was a bad book, on the contrary I really liked
reading it and I didn't regret it but I really have no intention on finishing
the series since this book, near its end, leaves little to be desired for the
action-seeker.
