Ender 1 Revised Edition
Description
Intense is the word for Ender's Game. Aliens have attacked Earth twice and almost destroyed the human species. To make sure humans win the next encounter, the world government has taken to breeding military geniuses -- and then training them in the arts of war... The early training, not surprisingly, takes the form of 'games'... Ender Wiggin is a genius among geniuses; he wins all the games... He is smart enough to know that time is running out. But is he smart enough to save the planet?

Ender's Game
I had heard a lot of good things about this book and I was therefore excited to read it, although I didn't know the first thing about it. That having been said, you can imagine my disappointment when I found out the main character was a six-year-old kid. But that didn't ruin the book for me. As far as science fiction books go, I always thought you need two things going in order to make it a great book:
1. Originality/Imagination
2. Good plot
A lot of times these tie in together. As far as Ender's Game goes, I thought it was kind of lacking in both. The imagination was kind of cool because as a kid I always wanted to go to space camp, so it brought back memories, but it could have been better. And I didn't think the plot flowed very well at all.
The ending was a huge disappointment to me (SPOILERS). He's got this simulated fight against all of these buggers, wins, and then he finds out that it was real. I don't get it.
Overall, I still liked this book, but it is NOT the best science-fiction novel ever written, which is what a lot of people seem to think.
